For a project that started out with a trip to the national library, designer Torben Bjerregaard didn’t do too badly. He translated the antique images in the Flora Danica, an atlas of all native wild plants in Denmark between 1761 and 1883, into contemporary design. The Inverted Round Bag is made from natural cotton canvas and leather. The clean shape of this round tote balances the dark, moody florals: a dramatic contrast. It’s a thoughtful, intelligent accessory that’s as timeless as the Flora Danica itself.
